Sunova Solar to supply modules for solar parks in the Netherlands

Sunova Solar has announced the signing of a module supply agreement with Dutch solar park developer PowerField, under which it will provide 122MW of its high-efficiency Hi-Milo series 545W PV panels by the end of December. With analysts forecasting the utility scale capacity of solar installations in the Netherlands to reach 1.1GW in 2023, connection of Powerfield’s current parks to the grid will automatically give Sunova a 10% share of the Dutch market.

PowerField CEO Jean-Louis Bertholet commented:“We are delighted to have signed this agreement with Sunova Solar and are looking forward to working together. Their high-quality solar panels will help us complete our solar parks and provide 60,000 Dutch households with sustainable energy, while eliminating an annual 150,000 tons of CO2 emissions. This is a major contribution both to the energy transition in the Netherlands and to our goal of owning 1,000MW of operational solar parks within the next five years.”

Sunova CEO William Sheng added: “We are proud to cooperate with PowerField on these important solar power projects in the Netherlands. Our partnership will further expand our presence and competitive position in the region and the sheer quantity of renewable electricity generated by these projects enables us to achieve a significant milestone towards our vision of supplying more of our modules to large utility scale projects, in addition to the residential, commercial and industrial roof top markets in which we have already been successful.”
